Chef Danny Peñalo Hosts Dominican Mother’s Day Celebration at Yarumba

Chef Danny Peñalo, Executive Chef at Yarumba Dominican Restaurant in Miami, hosted a heartfelt celebration honoring over 160 Dominican mothers this past Sunday. The event combined tradition, community, and joy in an afternoon filled with music, delicious Dominican food, and cultural pride.

Organized in collaboration with INDEX-RD and the Dominican Consulate in Miami, the gathering featured special guest Geanilda Vásquez, the Honorable Consul, who addressed the attendees with an inspiring message about the strength of Dominican women.

The event included live music, raffles, traditional dishes, and special recognitions. Mothers in attendance enjoyed a warm and festive environment created by Chef Danny Peñalo and the Yarumba team, showcasing the restaurant’s commitment to Dominican values beyond cuisine.
